This is a short story written in 45mins:
The Mistake
Tokyo is the city young Giyu had been brought up with his middle-class family. His childhood had been a pleasure and he always say that he has been very lucky to be like this. A few months ago, his best friend’s bike had been broken on the way to school, and he only had $50 dollars for his lunch and after school money that he had been saving up for. This part of the money he had been saving. He used this amount of money to buy his friend another bike. Tani was pleasured and did not know what to say to him, in return he bought Giyu some lunch with his lunch money.
Giyu wok up early in the preparation for school as he had to go early to get to the auditorium fast enough as today, he had a very important announcement he had to attend. This was one that the entire school had been waiting for. He grabbed his lunch from the kitchen and headed to school with the new bike he had gotten last Thursday. He felt very proud and saw some of his other friends along with Tani riding to campus. He felt like nothing could go wrong; he was living a perfect life only to be interrupted by at the school…
He arrived at the school and walked with his friends, immediately to the auditorium to listen to the important announcement. In Japanese, the instructor said to Giyu and his peers along with all the other kids in the school that there had been a mysterious murdering in the city and warns all the children (like Giyu) to stay home after this very last day of school until the serial killer is caught, the instructor strictly said. Many of his peers had murmured around about how they have heard this and where too. This made for a lot of suspicion around the city and word was getting out that there had been another person killed. Some of the kids were leaving school just to go home as they were so frightened of this happening and they were worried if their parents had passed away. However, Giyu and his friend Tani stayed at school as they thought they were safe and trusted their parents to be safe at home also.
Tani and Giyu hurried back home and checked to see if their parents were alright and safe at home; they were. This was a big relief for both Giyu and Tani and they cherished their family with a lot of love. They were late back home so they went to sleep just after dinner. As Giyu woke up the next day, his father told him to not go to school until the serial killer was caught, Giyu was shocked as his father explained to him that there had been more killings around the city and he said don’t worry about me ,just as Giyu was about to say that the serial killer maybe out there somewhere, “I’ll be back safe this after noon; Bye” Giyu handed him his bag as it was rather heavy. Giyu senses a feeling of fright soon as he imagines his friends perished by the hands of the serial killer, but he knows that is not going to happen as he had only killed three people, but the mother yells at him and says that it has rose up to about 34 now as dead bodies have been found all over the Tokyo region.
This was a massive fright for Giyu as he had been waiting for it to be over ever since the day the serial killer was out and commenced mass murder. On another side of him, he also liked to solve cases just like finding out who stole Tani’s watch a few months ago, and to everyone’s surprise: Giyu bought the supposed thief another watch with the money he had been saving up. This truly shows why Giyu would want to stop the mass murder madness form happening.
With the money that the boy had been saving up, he found some tools to help him inspect the things that he needed and that were essential for him to solve this case. He knew that this was dangerous, and everyone would most probably worry about him, so after his mother went to sleep every night, he would wander around to look for some evidence, he put pillows under his blanket and started the hunt. He looked left and right to see if there were cars but at this time of night there were only a few wanderings around: straight to his left there were people surrounding something which to the looks like: LOOKED LIKE A DEAD CORPSE!!!
This was the biggest shock he had ever felt in his life as he had never seen someone lose their life before his eyes. It was so big in fact that he nearly tripped over his self, but he knew he had to be courageous. He walked over and quietly examine the body to see if there were any clues and he then wrote them down.
For the next few weeks, he had been writing down anything he had found near dead bodies, but he never goes over the sight of a corpse before his eyes. He had noticed that near everybody there were some black hair strands and a red ribbon. This was mysterious, the very second, he stepped foot outside one day there was a police car driving towards a seen.
The next day he carefully went to his friend Tani’s house and knocked on the door: no response, and he knocked several more times, but he still could not get someone to the door, in the end he eventually, he was surprised to find that the door was open. This was a surprise to him as he saw a line of blood leading to the couch and he saw TANI DEAD ON THE COUCH!!!
The couch was absorbing the blood form the body which he still noticed that was running. This meant that this killing had not happened too long before he had arrived here. Giyu was in a state of mental depression and was crying all over his body grabbing him hoping to make him come to life again but he knew it was no use. He then looked around the body and noticed that there were some black hair strands and same red strand that looked like a ribbon on top of the body.
Giyu finally realised what had been going on: the serial killer was setting up a trap so they would find who he was. So that meant he only killed the people that tried to make him guilty but started with one kill at the very start. Giyu realised that Tani was also working on this case and that was why he never answered his calls over time.
If Giyu was correct the next person, he would try to kill was most likely someone like another investigator. At the very night he found Tani dead on the couch he set foot on and tried to find someone with a notepad and secretly follow him: this however was a very bad plan as he would find out in the future. He found someone waling across Tenji alley across the town square. The man ended up in front a house and kicked the door down but not even 3 seconds later: he got thrown out with a knife stabbed in his lower chest. Giyu did not even realise that this house he kicked the door down of was of his own house. Someone walked outside with a red tie, slick black hair, and a suit with a suitcase. This looked like the shape of his father. There was no way that it was him: Giyu started praying that it was not, but it was. His father was not surprised to see his own son there at the scene. Number 50: Senji Lee, criminal investigator, that is a good way to get to half a century. “Please father!! WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS. The boy cried his heart out but was pushed back to the ground by the hand of his own father. You remember the suitcase you gave me? Yes, that was the weapons and exactly why I did not want you or anyone to cross my path to know what I was doing. “Please father don’t kill me please!!!!”
Giyu tried to get up but went back down immediately with a loud thud and never experienced the love from his family; both mother and father, and friends…
